Tricks on Pricey Clothes

Prepare for sticker shock this fall: designer clothing is likely to be even more expensive than usual, due to rising fabric costs and the bad euro/dollar exchange rate. You can rarely find cheap designer dresses in the market nowadays. But whoever said, you can’t find ways to buy them at a slashed-off price?

Solutions given by avid buyers include waiting for the after-Thanksgiving sales. How to do that and get the stuff you love? Try it on, even if you’re not buying it right away. Look for a fit that’s your size. Why pine for something only to find out it doesn’t fit? Then, make friends with the salesperson. Befriending salespersons will seal the deal for you. Of course, befriend them sincerely and not fake it for that will be a very big deal-breaker for you! Call periodically to find out how many are left in your size. Keep in touch from time to time to show that you are still very much interested in the piece. As sale time nears, beg her to hide your item till you can get there. You’d be surprised how often equally-fashion-loving sale staffers will help!

What are you waiting for? Don’t let the crisis stop you!
